A few days left

We have just 3 more ‘sleeps’ left before we take the Vietnam airlines flight to Hanoi this Saturday 7 March. We are busy making sure we have all the items, clothing and medication organised and ready to pack. With all the medication I take, I could almost start my own pharmacy (see photo).
It is amazing the amount of things we have to pack. Bike helmets, 2 drink bottles each, gel seat covers, bike clothing including wet weather gear, back pack, sleeping bag liner (use on train), sun cream, mozzie repellent, basic first aid items, antiseptic wipes
and disinfectant. – The list goes on. We also have to take some regular clothes.
What’s the baggage allowance?

During our fundraising campaign Dallas Primary School came on board as one of our sponsors, and I made a presentation to the kids at the school in August last year. We agreed at that time to do a blog of our trip so the school could follow our adventure - one of the main reasons for creating this blog. The school released the blog to the kids yesterday (Tuesday). Christine and I went to the school, in our colourful Parkinson’s bike gear, later that afternoon to follow up and answer any queries. While waiting in the foyer, a number of kids came up and said “we saw you today on the internet…. “.
We were introduced to the kids, many of whom remembered my previous visit. We gave a brief explanation of what we were doing, showed the map of Vietnam and answered a number of questions. The Vice Principal advised us that the school will regularly visit our blog and may even make a comment or ask some questions. We were requested to revisit them after our return, to talk about our experiences and show some pictures.
It was a good feeling being applauded by the kids and teachers - Thankyou
